This application is to fell three large Cedar trees and one Magnolia in front garden of 19 Prince???s Road. These are identified as T1, T2, T3 and T5 respectively in the attached plan. Approval to fell these trees had been granted on 30th March 2021, reference DC/079759, but the Covid 19 pandemic created practical difficulties to get the work done and the consent has expired. The text of the earlier approved application is provided below. All the facts presented at that time remain valid. The conditions specified by SMBC in March 2021 are accepted, including the planting of two new cherry trees (6-8ft standards).. The trees continue to grow and as an example, T3 is now calculated to be 23.1m high and is 10.2m from the corner of the tree owner???s house. Crowns raised approx. 5 years ago but significant loss of light in front rooms of house. Roots encroaching on house. Boundary wall displaced by 30cm by T1. Also dead branches fall on the pavement and road. Garden will be professionally redesigned and include a selection of specimen trees including Acer, Magnolia and English broadleaf such as Hornbeam. Works to trees in a conservation area. T1. A Judas tree (Cercis) approximately 9m in height, situated in the front right-hand corner. Lightly thin by approximately 15% including the removal of any dead wood, lifting of low branches and the necessary shaping of the tree, ensuring the height and basic shape is retained. T2. A Holm Oak tree approximately 10m in height, situated in a central location on the front boundary. Low branches to be lifted or shortened back to convenient growth points. The crown should be thinned by approximately 20% including the removal of dead wood, and necessary re-shaping ensuring the height and basic shape is retained. T3. A Eucalyptus tree approximately 16m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. Reduce in height by up to 5m and re-shape as necessary.

T1 - Robinia (Croft House tree) - 3m lateral prune on South side of the tree. G1 - Conifer & Cherry - fell the Conifer and re-shape the Cherry tree. T2 - Apple - prune. G2 - Boundary trees (Croft House trees) - cut back to boundary line. T3 - Holm oak - cut back to boundary line (Croft House tree). T4 - Ceanothus - 1m overall crown reduction and balance crown

Eucalyptus x 3 along church road boundary & 2 x Eucalyptus along boundary with The Willows - 5 m reduction. Reason: They are a danger to the neighbour's property & Pushing on the brick wall. Lime within 6 m of the house - 3 m crown reduction. Reason Danger of falling branches causing damage to property. Sycamore within 6 m of the house - 2 m crown reduction. Reason Danger of falling branches causing damage to property. Poplar along neighbouring border on Church Road - reduce overhanging branch by 3 m - Reduce over hanging branch by 3m. Reason: To prevent damage to boundary wall.

Cypress- remove lower branches by 2m that are overhanging the fence; Hornbeam and sycamore- reduce overhang by 2m back to boundary/main stem; Cherry- reduce 1x elongated lateral branch by 2m that is growing towards the house. All located along the boundary of 104 Main Road . Reason for all: To reduce conflict between trees and neighbouring property.

T5- Walnut Tree - Neighbours Tree Left hand Boundary - Crown Lift over lawn up to 4m above ground level. To let more light into the garden and ease access for mowing grass. T6 - Copper Beech tree - rear garden - Reduce branches growing towards towards House to give clearance of 2-3m. To keep Tree free of the building for the foreseeable future.
